Breakfast Club

We have a thriving Breakfast Club which is open for all children from EYFS to Year 6 and is run by teaching assistants.   We aim to provide a safe, stimulating environment where parents can leave their children from 8 o’clock each morning.   We serve a healthy breakfast of: toast, cereal, fruit juice and pancakes. After eating breakfast the children play low-level games, read books or do puzzles maintaining a fairly quiet calm atmosphere.   At 8.45 the children are taken into the playground for a breath of fresh air where they are supervised until 8.50, when the classroom doors open and they go into their classroom, ready to begin the day.   Children can attend the Breakfast Club on a regular basis or as an occasional user. Please try to book places in advance. Each session costs £2.50 which must be paid either in advance or on the day.

All bookings for Breakfast Club should be via the School Office.

After School Club

Our after school club is open daily from 3:15 to 5:45.

We aim for each child to look forward to coming to After School Club where he/she will experience adventure and excitement through play and friendship. Children’s preferences, not gender, are the deciding factor in what children do at the club.   The ASC is managed by Teaching Assistants from the school, and this means that there are familiar faces for our younger children, and continuous care between school and after school care.   During each session, the ASC team provide a healthy snack for the children (included in the cost of the session), catering for needs, wants, likes, dislikes!   Sessions can be booked as a one off or on a regular basis, we can be flexible, to cater for your childcare needs.   If you wish your child to attend the ASC you must complete an authorised copy of our admission form, which is available from the school office. The form must state the child’s usual address, telephone and emergency contacts.   Once your child is booked into a session, we expect fees to be paid in advance or on the day of the session. This may be in the form of a cheque, made payable to Sibertswold CE Primary School, or cash and pre-payment envelopes are available from the ASC desk. Envelopes with booked sessions and payments should be put into the ASC letterbox above the ASC desk.   Under new curriculum guidelines, the ASC follows Early Years Foundation Stage for all children aged 4 and 5. This means that the children aged 4 and 5 are designated a key person who will be there to ensure your child’s well being, involvement and enjoyment is at the best it can be.
