As a school we felt it was important to have a focal prayer point for the whole school community to engage with. It is positioned at the end of the building near our quiet garden, most children can have access to it on a regular basis.

This area has a huge impact on the children’s spiritual lives, with many commenting they feel closer to God when they write their prayer and pin it to the wall or enjoy reading the Bible stories, Bible verse and quotes which surround the tree.

At the beginning of each term an interactive spiritual display is put by the school entrance, linked to the term’s worship theme. Children really enjoy having the opportunity to respond to it.

A different class each week – before school – is given the opportunity to attend a prayer and reflection group at St Andrews Church led by Mrs Restall. The children that have attended have really appreciated the opportunity to have time to reflect and pray.
